We are excited to share that the Starkloff Disability Institute will be hosting our sixth Universal Design Summit. The Universal Design Summit is a leading conference in North America that proudly provides exceptional content on Universal Design in home and community design. The Starkloff Disability Institute is partnering with Cohen Hilberry Architects, a national leader in Universal Design, to provide a unique educational experience showcasing good examples of universal design that can be incorporated into homes, neighborhoods and the larger community.
The theme of the Universal Design Summit 6 is community connections and the role of universal design in the creation of neighborhoods and public spaces that enable residents of all ages and abilities to participate fully in the local network of commercial, cultural, social and service opportunities. There are 60 million people living in the United States with some type of disability, a population bubble of 77 million “baby boomers” moving into middle age, and a group of older adults whose numbers will double by 2030. No domain is more in need of universal design than housing and the communities of which they are a part.
We hope you will join us as a sponsor of Universal Design Summit 6. You will gain exposure to over 35 presenters and 300 attendees, on a subject that is of growing importance to our aging population.
